DISTRICT VI PRESIDENT'S MEETING - May 27, 2026

Regina Hunt, hosted the event at Wagon Wheel Antiques and flea market. We had good food, learned how to use antiques and jars for plants and arrangements.  Had a craft on making beaded pot decorations. Was a lot of fun.     We got aprons to wear at events, one is in our group picture.  We will meet again in September so we can have summer off.  

April 2026

April meeting: presentation on making good compost.  Presenter Evelyn Blair, center photo showing what it looks like before it starts to work. Meetings are held at Bogalusa Senior Center, a big Thank you to them!

February 2026

From Phyllis Young, President: We had the Washington Parish King’s and Queen’s as special Guests.  We had a pot luck meal with King Cake. We all had a good time with a very good meal        ​

November 2025

Bogalusa Garden Guild participated in Washington Parish Fair. We entered two themed arrangement for competition. Ellen Tayler place First and Wendy Perrette placed second. 

 

​Next event was at a church function for the seniors from all churches. Brenda Simon gave a presentation on the snack plant.

District VI Fall Meeting - October 23, 2025

President Phyllis Young gave a recap of achievements made by the Bogalusa Garden Guild at the District VI Fall Meeting held at the Maritime Museum in Madisonville. Event was sponsored by Covington Garden Club.
