First place traditional Terrytown Garden Club “Tree Hugger” -- The following are the top winners of the recent Scarecrow Trail in New Orleans Botanical Garden. The Scarecrow Trail was sponsored by District II clubs and the New Orleans Botanical Garden. It was open to schools and clubs. The scarecrows will remain in the Garden until November. St. Tammany Master Gardner Association Fall Seminar
Passed a good time at the St. Tammany Master Gardner Association Fall Seminar at Church of the King in Mandeville LA. Speakers included Dan Gill, P. Allen Smith and Felder Rushing. There were plenty of exhibits and plants for sale. Lots of garden clubs were represented like Gardenettes, Terrytown Garden Club, Covington Garden Club, River Ridge Garden Club - all of whom are members of District VI and II of the Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs Inc. and National Garden Clubs Inc.
